During a protest that was undertaken by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Patna against the corrupt practices of the incumbent Bihar government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Patna police lathi charged at the protesters.  It was alleged by the BJP supporters that malpractices were being undertaken in the alleged recruitment of teachers. In order to highlight the fraudulent activities, BJP undertook the protest.

However, the protest turned violent when the Patna police used water cannon, tear gas against the protesters. Earlier, in the day, Vijay Kumar Singh, General secretary of BJP unit of Jahanabad succumbed to his injuries during the lathi charge. Soaked in blood, Singh was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.

Sushil Modi, Rajya Sabha member of the BJP lashed at Nitish Kumar while waging  protest against the atrocities that were committed by the police against the BJP workers. He questioned Nitish Kumar and asked if they do not have the right to protest also.

Netizens slam Bihar government, call the lathi charge by police as “death of democracy”

Another Netizen, Ajay Singh said that he pitied the people of Bihar who choose Nitish Kumar and Tejaswi Yadav.

I pity the people of Bihar who chose Nitish Kumar & RJD, Nitish Kumar brings Tejashwi Yadav with him, and Tejashwi Yadav brings old “Gunda Raj” with him! Shameful

Aaryavart said that Nitish Kumar’s rule is worse than that of the British rule and added that they are more cruel than the English rulers.

Dev Kumar Gouda compared the rule of Nitish Kumar government to that of cruel leader Chengez Khan.

भाजपा कार्यकर्ता की @NitishKumar सरकार ने हत्या की है । यह लोकतंत्र पर चंगेंजी हमला है । यह सरकार असहनीय है । @TawdeVinod @SMCHOUOfficial @bhikhubhaidbjp @BJP4Bihar

One more netizen came down heavily on the Bihar government and stated, “ It’s a “Sarkari Jungle Raaz” in Bihar…. It’s not BJP worker Vijay Singh but Nitish Kumar’s governance model which is laying on the death bed.. Ironically these people claim to be the protectors of democracy. Shameful!!
