Prabhas, Kirti Sanon starrer ‘Adipurush’ is all set to release on June 16. The makers of the film have now announced that they would be dedicating one seat to Hanuman ji inside every theatre.

Going by the statement, one seat in every theatre will be unsold during Adipurush screening. This unsold seat will be dedicated to Hanuman ji to celebrate the beliefs of people.

Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, will release in theatres on June 16. The film will grace the screens in five languages, namely, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

The Adipurush’s team statement read, “Lord Hanuman appears wherever the Ramayana is recited. It is our belief.

Respecting this belief, every theatre screening Prabhas’ Rama-starrer Adipurush will reserve one seat for Lord Hanuman without selling it. Hear the history of paying respects to the greatest devotee of Rama. We started this great work in an unknown way. We all must see the Adipurusha built with great grandeur and grandeur in the presence of Lord Hanuman.”

Adipurush is a film based on the Ramayana. The film is written and directed by Om Raut. While Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage will be seen in lead roles

The makers have also planned a mega pre-release event at the Sri Venkateswara University Stadium in Tirupathi on June 6 at 6 PM, with Chinna Jeeyar Swamy garu attending as the chief guest.

The second trailer of the film will also be released at the event.

Actor Prabhas also visited Tirumala temple in Tirupati to seek blessings ahead of the pre-release event.

Notably the film, ‘Adipurush’ had courted controversy in October 2022 after the first teaser of the movie was heavily criticised on social media for the quality of visual effects as well as its depiction of Hindu deities.

It was also slammed for the apparent Islamisation of Hanuman ji and Ravana.

The teaser also showed that the sets of the movie are inspired by video games and Hollywood movies and TV shows, and therefore, they do not look like how various places during that age are described in the epic Ramayana.

The film is set to premiere at the Tribeca Festival in the Escape From Tribeca section on June 15, a day before its theatrical release.
