A First Information Report (number–51/2023) was registered at the Shalimar police station of the Trans Hindon Ghaziabad district on April 27.

As per the complaint, the families of Ashok Pandey, Sanjay Tiwari and the other three have been tolerating hooliganism done by Islamists for years now. Masood Siddiqui, Mohammad Ikram, Wakar Siddiqui, Shakeel Ahmed and Mohammad Chand have been harassing the women living in the building which falls under the DLF Sahibabad area.

These men are allegedly trying to encroach the piece of land that belongs to these five families. As per the FIR all the accused have been booked under IPC sections 147 (rioting), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentionally insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation).

After the complaint, the Ghaziabad police arrested Masood and Wakar. The other named accused are absconding as of now and the police teams are trying to track them.

Sanjay Tiwari, one of the complainants told Organiser over the call that all five families were living on rent at the building. The landlord decided to sell it off and it was then they had the documentation initiated. The registry of the terrace was done in 2016.

After they bought the flats, Masood and his family members started construction on the terrace of their flats. By documents, the terrace belongs to them and the construction by Masood and his goons was illegal.

The families managed to bring a stay order in 2016. However, even after the stay orders Masood and his friends came and threaten the families, to vacate. Hid boys, do their liquor parties on the terrace and would smoke weed.

Tiwari says, he has three daughters, still they were tolerating this hooliganism as they all belong to simple families. On April 26, Masood and his goons misbehaved with the women, while the men were at work.

One of his goons almost dragged Ashok Pandey who is an elderly and lives next to Tiwari.

He added, this was the peak and hence they decided to file a police complaint against the culprits. The police only named five of the accused as, we knew their names only. However, the video from the incident shows there were ten men on the spot.
