During the holy month of Ramzan, 26-year-old Dilkhush Zarra raped a minor girl belonging to his own community. Shocking details of the rape are making it to the headlines, stating he stuffed sand into the private parts of the minor after it started to bleed.

The case is from the Purnia district of Bihar. A case has been registered against the accused and he has been arrested as well.

Dilkhush stuffed sand in the private part of the victim

A First Information Report (number–108/2023) was registered at the Dagarua police station of the Purnia district on April 8.

As per the complainant, the victim’s mother, Anbari Khatun, on April 7, her 10-year-old daughter was playing out with other kids in the colony. The empty field they were playing in is almost a half kilometre from the house. It was 1 pm.

Suddenly this boy Dilkhush Zarra son of Abid Zarra a resident of the Patringa area, ward number–2 came to the field and held the minor girl by her hand. He then asked the other children to run away.

As soon as the children fled the site he took the victim to a pit nearby and raped her forcefully. When she started screaming for help the other kids arrived. Dilkhush threatened them and asked them to keep their mouth shut.

By then the victim started to bleed. The blood from the vaginal entrance started pouring out, in a rush, Dilkhush stuffed the sand and mud lying on the floor into her private parts.

The minor was lying unconscious on the floor. Seeing her the children started shouting that Dilkhush is trying to kill the victim and then the other villagers and family members arrived, seeing the villagers he fled.

However, the victim’s family took her to the local hospital from where she was referred to the GMCH Hospital Purnia. After the victim was discharged, this complaint was registered.

The First Information Report, as shared by the victim’s family with Organiser Weekly

Accused has been booked under sections of POCSO Act

As per the FIR, the accused Dilkhush has been booked under IPC sections 376 (rape) and section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offense (POCSO) Act.

After the complaint was registered the police conducted a detailed medical test of the victim and later the accused was also tested. These tests confirmed the penetration.

As per the minor girl, “I was playing with my 5-6 friends in the field near the house. Then he came and started roaming around. Suddenly picked up sand and threw it on us. Due to this the rest of the children ran away. While pressing my mouth, he picked me up and took me to the pit behind the field. He did dirty things to me”.

As of now, the victim is with her family members. They demand strict action against the culprit.
