Videos of Madhya Pradesh-based priest Dhirendra Krishna Shashtri go viral on the internet, every now and then. He became an internet sensation after his controversy with self-proclaimed social reformer professor Shyam Manav. The clash arise after Manav called Shahshtri a fake godman.

Shashtri is known for his ‘Divya Darbar’ (Divine court) which originated from the Balaji Hanuman temple premise located in the Chhatarpur District of Madhya Pradesh. Now he organises such Darbars all across the country. In this, he tells the solution to the problems of commoners. The same temple is referred to as the ‘Bageshwar Dham’ by the devotees.

Shashatri is again in news and this time for his appeal from the Hindu community people. In one of his viral video he asked Hindus to bring three-four children in the world and send two of them in the service of Bhagwan Ram.

He further said, ideally a couple should have two kids only (Bacche do hi acche). Even if a Hindu couple has two children, they must send one to the service of Ram Bhagwan.

He said, from childhood parents must teach their children about Sanatan Dharma and Hindutva.

“We were two brothers, my father sent me to the service of Dharma”, he said. He indirectly replied his opponents saying they must carry a balm as ‘I am in service of Dharma and not doing any wrong”.

“I am just talking about Bhagvan Ram, Hindu Rashtra and people who have problems with this. Why should I be worried, I am saying no wrong”, He added further.

We are not against any religion. We just want all those who for some reason left Dharma to return back to Sanatan. This is just their ‘Ghar Wapsi’.

Shashtri reached Chhatarpur for the inauguration of Ramalaya at the Ramleela ground in Chhatarpur on March 13.

Shastri conducts a Divya Darbar (Divine court) where it is believed that he heals all the physical, mental, economic and social sufferings of the people with his divine powers which he got from Lord Hanuman. In an interview with a Youtube channel, he explained that he is the third generation after his grandfather and father to serve as the head of the dharma.

He has been into controversy for this Divya Darbar (divine court) earlier.

He gained attention after being challenged in the divine court by Shyam Manav of the Nagpur-based Akhil Bhartiya Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti, who questioned his spiritual abilities and accused Shastri of encouraging superstition. Shastri brought Manav to his divine court when the controversy first surfaced and questioned him about anything.
