Once again a temple has been attacked and burnt to rubble in the state of Bihar making an absolute mockery of the Nitish Kumar-Tejashwi Yadav Government. Amid calls for action by Hindu organisations, the Bihar police issued a press note claiming the fire started from an abandoned shop and reached the temple.

Evidence of idols being attacked

The national spokesperson of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Vinod Bansal from his official Twitter account shared the information about the attack. He wrote, “The incident of demolition and burning of two temples of Hanuman and Durga ji in Bihar’s Muslim-dominated Kishanganj is extremely condemnable and painful. If the administration remains silent on the matter, the Hindus will call for a movement.”

The local activists informed that the idols were also attacked, this was not an accidental fire, it was done intentionally to demolish the temple and deities.

As per the press note released by the police, the incident took place at a temple located in the Mastan square area of the Kochdhaman block of the Kishanganj District.

The press note by the police says a fire started in an abandoned shop

On March 12, a shop located in the Mastan square caught fire due to unidentified reasons, soon the fire reached a temple located nearby. Within no time the fire brigade teams arrived and the fire was extinguished. The situation was also under control, traffic was not barred and the administration is working on the restoration works of the temple.

The District Commissioner, Shrikant Shashtri also visited the spot.

The note further reads anyone, spreading misinformation will not be spared by the administration. This includes posts on social media, news in print and digital media with other websites updating the news.

Contrary to this the local Hindu activists including members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad demanded strict action. In case of a lackadaisical approach, they will call for a protest. They also demanded for a team to be instituted to check the CCTV footage.

Bansal in his Tweet informed that the district president of the VHP Sunil Tiwari with other volunteers handed over a memorandum to the police. But the whole day passed and no arrests were made by the Superintendent of Police, Inam-ul-Haque.

Rage in social media

A user sharing a video from the past wrote, “Bihar me Jungle raaj ba..”. In the video two groups are clashing over illegal construction.

Another user demanded Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) to be implemented in the state. He further wrote the border areas must be strict.

First of all NRC and CAA Must be implemented in Bihar as it is being seen Now
Border of Bihar should be strict#NitishKumar Must care please

A user wrote, Bharat will be the next Iraq or Syria, Hindus have not much time left.

Another user wrote, “The so-called secular media will play videos of Muslim woman been attacked with ballons on Holi, but they will remain silent on attacks like these”.

मुस्लिम महिला को होली का गुब्बारे मारने का वीडियो दिन में दस बार हर मीडिया चैनल पर दिखने वाले तथाकथित सेक्युलर ऐसी घटनाओं पर क्यों चुप हो जाते है
