Delhi BJP working president alleges rigging in guest teachers recruitment, seeks action against AAP’s Manish Sisodia

"We do not do politics of making wild allegations against governments and individuals. Arvind Kejriwal is an expert in that. If you have to know them, you have to meet Gandhian Anna Hazare. These people misused the popular public movement against corruption. Shri Anna Hazare was hurt and felt betrayed in the process. You must look into their track record", Virendra Sachdeva claimed

Stating that the saffron party does not believe in the politics of making wild allegations, the Delhi BJP Working President Virendra Sachdeva said on March 5 that a new scam by AAP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has surfaced.

“This time it is in the Education department….There was rigging in the recruitment of guest teachers by the Delhi Education department. It was a massive rigging in violation of all rules. I have therefore urged Delhi Lt. Governor Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena to look into the matter and seek a report from the Education Department,” Sachdeva told ‘Organiser’ in a brief interview.

When queried whether he was merely running a political campaign, he said, “We do not do politics of making wild allegations against governments and individuals.  Arvind Kejriwal is an expert in that. If you have to know them, you have to meet Gandhian Anna Hazare. These people misused the popular public movement against corruption. Shri Anna Hazare was hurt and felt betrayed in the process. You must look into their track record”.

Further elucidating, Sachdeva said, “In the teacher’s scam, I have referred to many guest teachers who were given subject exemption. A teacher who had done post-graduation in Environmental Science was assigned to teach Biology. ‘Aap isey kya kahenge (What wil you call this)….”.

On speculations of CBI and ED probes to follow soon on this Education department alleged scam as well, the BJP Delhi unit chief said, “These allegations are not happening just because I want it. The probe happens only after scrutinising matters and examination of papers and evidence. The law takes its course, and then the CBI and ED come as agencies. Do not underestimate the honesty and sincerity of these premier agencies by saying their actions suit BJP. I will repeat myself, our party does not do these kinds of allegation-politics”.

Asked whether all these charges were not aimed at discrediting AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, Sachdeva said, “If Manish Sisodia is the mastermind of corruption, someone else is the super-mastermind. The manner in which this party was floated in a move that perhaps upset Anna Hazare should have raised eyebrows long back. Now things are coming out one by one. I will not be surprised if more scams by the Kejriwal government surface”.

On enquiring about the Mohalla clinic launched by the AAP, he said, “You all are being very sympathetic to Arvind Kejriwal and his government. Even Mohalla Clinic is a scam. It’s a real estate scam. Houses and buildings are taken on rent at high prices. This also should be unearthed. Many AAP leaders are involved in these”.

On prospects of BJP’s revival journey in Delhi, Sachdeva maintained, “We are a very strong party both in Delhi city and at the national level. The AAP has tried to fool the people of Delhi with their freebies. Politics and governance should not be based on these bribe-giving systems. Kejriwal belongs to that group of politicians who distribute TV and then indulge in corruption. That’s why I say Kejriwal and Sisodia have made Delhi the ‘corruption capital’ of India.”

Against this backdrop, he further said, “You look at the other end, we have the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi…..everything is so transparent, and our leader is taking the country to new heights”.
