Miscreants vandalised idols at a temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone; villagers demand immediate action

Villagers in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh’s protested after an unidentified miscreant broke two idols at a temple on January 09. The villagers are demanding an immediate arrest of those involved.

The miscreants vandalised the idols at the Hanuman temple in Pipaljhopa, Bhagwanpura police station area, Khargone. After hearing about the incident, hundreds of villagers reached the Hanuman temple and found the idols smashed into pieces.
The villagers had asked the local authorities to arrest the miscreant immediately. If no action is taken, they will block the roads and organise a mass protest, a local said.

A heavy police force has been deployed in the area, and an investigation is underway to identify the anti-social elements.
At present, the police are looking for the accused in the case with the help of the dog squad and the FSL team. Seeing the tension in the area, heavy police force has been deployed. On the other hand, Khargone SP Dharamveer Singh has said, “the accused is being searched, and he will be caught as soon as possible.”
