Constitution Day 2022 : Who truly works for the soul and heart of our country’s constitution?

There is no other country as diverse, multilingual, and multi-cultural as India, yet it is bound together by the ancient bonds of shared traditions, culture, and values

Our Preamble says, WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a [SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC] and to secure to all its citizens: JUSTICE, social, economic and political; LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation.

There is no other country as diverse, multilingual, and multi-cultural as India, yet it is bound together by the ancient bonds of shared traditions, culture, and values. Such bonds must be strengthened through enhanced and continuous mutual interaction between people from various regions and ways of life, in order to encourage reciprocity and secure an enriched value system of unity amongst people from various states in a culturally unique country like INDIA.

However, the “Breaking India forces,” who claim to be true constitutional supporters, are actually the most ardent opponents of our great holy book. They set the narrative on a grand scale to demonstrate their ostensible love for the constitution, but in practise they oppose and work against the soul and heart of our constitution. They are working to ensure that unity and diversity are broken, for which they have set a narrative and are working against the “making India forces.” The hatred is so strong that they support naxalism, terrorism, anti-social elements, caste division, religious conversion, and corrupt leaders. Their anti-India actions and ideologies are either foreign-funded or motivated by a desire for power.

The ultimate goal of the distorted history, the incorrect education system, and the hateful narratives set on a regular basis against the idea of Bharat, on which our constitution’s soul is based, that which believes in unity, integrity, equanimity, and to make Vishwaguru to take care of the entire world with a balanced and rational approach.

Though our constitution incorporates many provisions from various foreign documents, its heart is entirely Bharatiya. This shows the beauty, inclusiveness, and comprehensiveness of our constitution. The preamble clarifies the intention, which is consistent with the great Bharatiya ancient culture.

The breaking India forces, who do not believe in social equanimity, unity, and integrity as per the constitution, work day and night to destroy the organisations working on the ground to make the dreams of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and his drafting team of our constitution a reality. One such organisation, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is particularly despised by these breaking forces. The RSS is being destructively criticised, and poisonous narratives are being set against them on a regular basis, but they are quietly working to unite all castes without distinction, following the mantra of social equanimity to treat everyone equally, so that everyone joins hands to work to build a great nation where everyone is socioeconomically and spiritually strong.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh seeks to effect systemic change through social awakening and character development of swayamsevaks, both individually and collectively. The Sangh expects certain qualities from its swayamsevaks: they will effectively carry out the Sangh’s mission in society; they will uphold the Akhil Bharatiya perspective, that this nation from Ram Setu to the Himalayas is one and is my own; they will firmly believe that all members of the society are equal; they will regularly attend the shakha to place the nation above oneself and lead the movement while remaining in the background.

Despite the fact that many Sangh organisations work for the betterment of each section, such as tribals, other socially marginalised communities, farmers, labourers, youths, social cohesion,  science, education, health, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, socioeconomic development, and so on. This section contains information about two organisations, Seva Bharati and Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, that demonstrate how the constitution is followed with good intentions.

Seva Bharati volunteers are currently involved in over 100,000 service projects in remote areas of the country. Volunteers have been the first responders to many natural disasters, including floods, accidents, and other natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis. According to reports, Seva Bharati has 17,500 education projects, 12,000 health care projects, 26,000 social welfare projects, and 9238 self-reliance projects. Medical assistance, crèche, library, hostel, basic education, adult education, vocational and industrial training, and upliftment of street children and lepers are among the projects that serve the economically disadvantaged and socially neglected segments of society. Seva Bharti’s projects aim to make the underprivileged sections of society self-sufficient in all aspects of their lives.

Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram

Bharat is a land with a diverse natural environment and a unique cultural heritage. It is also the home of hundreds of Janjatis, also known as ‘Vanvasis.’ The Vanavasis are mentioned in all of our country’s ancient scriptures and literature. There are several references in the Ramayana such as Shabari, Baali, Sugreev, and so on, whereas the Mahabharata has references such as Eklavya, Barbarik, Ghatotkacha, and so on. Birsa Munda in Ranchi region (Jharkhand State), Kanhoji Bhangare in Maharashtra, Talakkal Chandu in Kerala, Vishoi in Orissa, Tirot Sing in Meghalaya, Santhal leaders in Bihar (Siddo, Kanoo, and Tilka Manjhi), Rani Gaidinliu and Shahid Jadonang of Manipur, Punja Bhil of Rajasthan were among those who actively participated in the freedom struggle Many more Janjatis who participated in the Indian Freedom Movement are unsung heroes.

Janjatis make up approximately 10% of the total population in our country, and are found in almost all of the states and union territories except Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi. They have remained economically and socially backward. Stigma and criminality have unfortunately been associated with this segment of society for generations by some city dwellers in the country. It is imperative that society respect Vanvasis and their rich culture.

Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram is currently working in 361 of the 455 Janjati districts. There are a total of 19398 active projects. Many educational centres and hostels for boys and girls have been established, as well as agricultural development and skill development centres, self-help groups, medical facilities, rural area development, and numerous other initiatives to help our tribal brothers and sisters.

Sangh Swayamsevaks in Government

The current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a few Chief Ministers, and many other ministers are from Sangh backgrounds, and their work demonstrates how the soul and heart of the constitution are respected. Many schemes provide benefits to the poor and socially marginalised people of all castes and religions, including free housing, cylinders, food grains, toilets, bank accounts, free medical assistance through the Ayushman Bharat scheme, and special schemes for SC, ST, and other backward classes. Respect and honour to the unsung heroes of the freedom struggle, as well as current heroes from village and tribal communities who are doing outstanding work for the betterment of society and country.

On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 140th birth anniversary, the Hon’ble Prime Minister announced Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat on October 31, 2015. Following that, the Finance Minister announced the initiative in his 2016-17 Budget Speech. Knowledge of the culture, traditions, and practises of different states and UTs will lead to improved understanding and bonding between the states, thereby strengthening India’s unity and integrity. The Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme aims to actively promote interaction between people of diverse cultures living in different Indian states and union territories, with the goal of promoting greater mutual understanding. Each year, each state/UT in India would be paired with another state/UT in India for reciprocal interaction between the people, according to the programme. It is hoped that through this exchange, knowledge of different states’ languages, cultures, traditions, and practises will lead to greater understanding and bonding, thereby strengthening India’s unity and integrity as per constitution.

As evidenced by actual work on the ground rather than what narratives set by anti-India forces project, the RSS and its organisations are truly working in accordance with the constitution’s soul and heart.
