Prakash Javdekar, Prabhari for Kerala BJP, alleges that CPM challenges the Constitution and creates anarchy. CPM and CM Pinarayi Vijayan forget that Governor is a Constitutional position. Addressing a press conference at Thiruvananthapuram on November 11, Javdekar ridiculed CPM state secretary M.V. Govindan’s statement that they would siege Raj Bhavan. CM uses Governor’s name when he addresses. CPM negates the Constitutional powers of the Governor.
Javdekkar said Minister V. Sivankutty threatened to kill the Governor. He reminds the Governor of the attempt to kill Thiruvithamkoor Dewan, Sir C.P. Ramaswamy Iyer. Chief Minister has appointed K.K. Rajesh his secretary, the person, the then Rajya Sabha MP, who protected the people who attempted to attack the Governor during the inaugural function of the History Congress at Kannur University in December 2008. The LDF is led by those who do not know anything about UGC rules. They illegally employ DYFI leaders’ wives.
The Raj Bhavan siege is to hide these facts. Thiruvananthapuram Mayor’s letter is serious. It proves that contract jobs are reserved for CPM cadres. Crime Branch’s enquiry into this issue is a mere drama. A sitting high court judge is the best bet in this matter. The government deploys a police force to attack BJP workers. Chemical tear gas and grenades are anti-democratic steps. It is absurd. Even the state BJP president is shot. Government should take action against the police officers who led this. Javdekkar added that Congress-led Opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) tries to protect the corrupt Mayor; hence they keep mum.
