NAVAL COMMANDERS’ CONFERENCE

The 2nd edition of Naval Commanders’ Conference of 2022 was held from 31st October to 3rd November 2022 at New Delhi. During the conference the Naval Commanders reviewed major Operational, Materiel, Logistics, Human Resource Development, Training and Administrative activities undertaken by the Indian Navy in the last few months. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh addressed and interacted with the Naval Commanders on matters pertaining to national security.

SINGAPORE-INDIA MARITIME BILATERAL EXERCISE

Indian Navy hosted the 29th edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) from 26th to 30th October 2022 at Visakhapatnam. The scope and complexity of the exercise has risen substantially over the past two decades to include advanced naval drills covering a wide spectrum of
maritime operations.

DRDO CONDUCTS SUCCESSFUL MAIDEN FLIGHT-TEST OF PHASE-II BALLISTIC MISSILE DEFENCE INTERCEPTOR

As DRDO conducted a successful maiden flight-test of Phase-II Ballistic Missile Defence interceptor AD-1 missile with large kill altitude bracket on 2nd November 2022. The AD-1 is a long-range interceptor missile designed for both low exo-atmospheric and endo-atmospheric interception of long-range ballistic missiles as well as aircraft.
