Prof. Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), said in Kozhikode that Bharat has always been pleased to welcome scientific developments. She made it clear that dissimilar propaganda is false and wrong. She was inaugurating the Sargasamvaadam cultural evening organised by Sangh-inspired Kesari Malayalam weekly as a part of the Navratri celebrations.  Prof. Dulipudi added that Bharat enjoys the peculiarity of celebrating the divinity inherent in women. We are the only country where Gods are qualified as Remapathi, Seethapati and so on. Saraswathi is the Goddess of communication too.  This is the time for realizing the relevance of communications.

Dr. K.S. Radhakrishnan, former Kerala Public Service Commission Chairman and former Vice Chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, said that Sankaracharya did not use the words to fight, but to enlighten others. The attitude that whatever you say is right, and all others are wrong, is dangerous. Bharat taught the entire world a noble lesson that words are not swords to fight. It is Bharat who taught the world the concept of tolerance. Swami Vivekananda had emphasised this point while addressing the World Parliament of Religions.

T. Rati, former Under Secretary, Rashtrapathi Bhavan, presided.

Sprint Queen P.T. Usha presented Sarga Prathibha Puraskar to veteran puppeteer Ramachandra Pulavar.

Seema Jagaran Manch national coordinator A. Gopalakrishnan, reputed poet and lyricist Rajeev Anchal, Smt. Vidhubala, Malayalam matinee idol of yesteryears, and Kesari chief editor Dr. N.R. Madhu spoke on the occasion.

The meeting was followed by puppetry presented by Ramachandra Pulavar and team and Carnatic music by Dr. Sudha Ranjith.
