Nagaon: Heinous crime shocked the people of Assam. A 70-year-old man Jainal Uddin raped a 3-year-old minor in the West Shingimari area in Nagaon district.
The horrifying incident took place on Monday evening. According to Nagaon police, the minor was playing in the backyard of her home. After that, she fell asleep. Rapist Jainal was watching the minor. When she fell asleep and nobody was at home at that time, the 70-year-old man raped her. The victim somehow informed her parents about the incident. The shocked parents immediately informed the local police. Inspector of Rupahihat police station Sanjit Kumar Ray acted swiftly and arrested the accused Jainal Uddin. Police sources said that Jainal Uddin confessed that he raped the minor girl.
The incident shocked the entire Rupahihat as well as Shingimari area. The police registered Case no 241/22 us 447/448/376AB IPC Rw sec, 6 of POCSO (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act) act 2012 against the accused and sent him to jail.
