Kanhaiya lal is dead doesn’t deserve mention though it was Zubair’s selective and editorially manufactured outrage that is directly responsible for the tragedy. 99.99 per cent of the secular ecosystem hasn’t heard of Udaipur. Those who’ve heard know nothing about killers

To take our minds off the horrors in the news today, what could be better than a record 176 run T20I partnership between @HoodaOnFire & @IamSanjuSamson? Congratulations to them & Team India for posting 225/7 against Ireland!” Tweeted Congress leader Shashi Tharoor wanted to help Indians forget the horrendous beheading of Kanhaiya Lal by two Islamist terrorists in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

“Triage” in medical language means deciding the order of treatment of casualties or patients when a large number of cases are involved. Most viable patients are given priority. It’s an unwritten rule that VIPs get preferential treatment over ordinary people. When it comes to apparently similar issues in public life, our Secular Media and Intelligentsia use the “Secular Triage” to decide which issue should get preferential coverage or any coverage at all.

Ketaki Chitale is a young Marathi Actor. She shared a post on social media that was purportedly derogatory of NCP strongman Sharad Pawar. In spite of there being no direct reference to Pawar anywhere in the post, Chitale spent 40 days in jail because Thane Police slapped her with incredibly draconian cases. While Nationalists made noise about Chitale, the Court took 40 days to bail her, and secularists conveniently ignored her.

Secular triage strictly forbids newspapers like “Times of India” and “The Hindu” from disclosing the religion of the killers of Kanhaiya Lal. It’s reported, “Udaipur tailor killed by customers for post supporting Nupur Sharma”. So Nupur Sharma is the problem and the culprit. The ultimate fact is, “Nupur Sharma belongs to the wrong religion” in the scheme of secular triage

The same set of people were demanding “Arrest Nupur Sharma” for alleged insult to the Prophet, even as there were open calls for her beheading. In the meantime, someone filed cases against Mohammed Zubair or Zoobear, the co-founder of the “self-proclaimed Fact-check website” that regularly does triage of fact-checking. Zoobear was that person who shared the cropped video of Nupur Sharma’s retaliation to an Islamist insulting Hindu beliefs and Gods. He drummed up hate for Nupur Sharma, PM Modi, BJP, Hindus and India throughout the Islamic world with the help of usual suspects like Rana Ayyub, Saba Naqvi, and Arfa Khanum and the secular fundamentalist ecosystem.

Suddenly, out of the blue, some people like Sidharth Varadarajan of “The Wire” and actor Swara Basker “Woke” up to Chitale’s plight and Tweeted half-hearted comments. Not so strangely, it coincided with the arrest of Teesta Setalvad by Gujarat ATS first and then Zoobear by Delhi Police the next day.

The secular complaint now is, “Zubair arrested but Nupur Sharma is free.” Kanhaiya Lal is dead doesn’t deserve mention though it was Zubair’s selective and editorially manufactured outrage that is directly responsible for the tragedy. They demand “Arrest Nupur Sharma” for causing religious disharmony but want “Release Zubair”, though the cases against both are similar. There’s no Fatwah against Zubair, but a bounty on Nupur’s head doesn’t matter either.

Secular triage strictly forbids newspapers like “Times of India” from disclosing the religion of the killers of Kanhaiya Lal. It’s reported, “Udaipur tailor killed by customers for post supporting Nupur Sharma”. So Nupur Sharma is the problem and the culprit. The ultimate fact is, “Nupur Sharma belongs to the wrong religion” in the scheme of secular triage.

Editor’s Guild, the secular triaging authority guiding media, has instantaneously condemned the arrest of Zubair and demanded immediate release. This extra-constitutional body had taken almost a week to respond to the arrest of Arnab Goswami by the Uddhav Thackeray Government. In that case, they only wanted the law to take due course without asking for immediate release. BBC went a step further and declared, “Zubair arrested for criticizing PM Modi”. Facts should never hinder secular propaganda.

Ketaki Chitale wasn’t the first to be jailed by the Maharashtra Government for citizens exercising their freedom of expression. Sunaina Holey and Samit Thakkar too were jailed for criticizing CM Thackeray. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi-ji is blamed for running Bulldozer Raj by the secular brigade. The same brigade had applauded Uddhav when he sent JCB to demolish Kangna Ranaut’s building after she’d criticized him. Uddhav’s JCBs were secular, while Yogi-ji has deployed communal bulldozers. That’s the secular fundamentalist difference.

Coming back to Shashi Tharoor, “secular triage” prescribes sharing Cricket scores to “take our minds off horrors of news” when an innocent Hindu falls victim to Jihadi terror. But if a cattle-thief from a triage-positive community gets injured in a fight with cattle-owners, there should be nonstop and international outrage over social media with orders to hang our heads in shame.

The secular triage guidelines are amply clear. Ketaki Chitale or Nupur Sharma’s freedom of expression can never be equal to that of Mohammed Zubair. The arrest of Arnab Goswami isn’t an attack on the media, but the arrest of Zubair amounts to an attack on the media. “Law should take its own course” for Arnab, Kangna, Ketaki, Samit and Sunaina. On the other hand, it is “Release Zubair”, “Release Teesta”, “Release Umar Khalid”, “Release Siddique Kappan”, “Release Sharjeel Imam” and so on. There’s no role for Courts or “due process of law” when Triage-positive people are involved.

Islamist-Leftist agenda peddler Anand Patwardhan is the epitome of secular virtues. He doesn’t know who killed Kanhaiya Lal, but he is cocksure who is going to benefit because of the killing. The Secular triage system has already begun giving cover-fire to provide safe passage to Islamist killers. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot wants the Prime Minister to cool the communal passions after his Police ignored Kanhaiya Lal’s requests for protection from Islamist threats.

Amidst all this, 99.99 per cent of the secular ecosystem hasn’t heard of Udaipur. Those who’ve heard know nothing about killers. Like “Times of India”, they have condemned the communal killing and have held Nupur Sharma and the inaction of the Central Government responsible for the tragedy. In a parallel universe, #HinduLivesMatter hashtag is trending.
