Unleashing a trail of terror in Rajasthan, two coward terrorists beheaded an innocent tailor in broad daylight hours in crowded street of Udaipur after entering his shop in the guise of customers for the reason that the tailor posted on social media his support to Nupur Sharma, former spokesperson, BJP. Sharma was expelled from party recently for making controversial remark on Prophet Mohammad.

Slaughtering the innocent tailor in a Talibani style, the terrorists uploaded two videos on social media; one of the brutal murder of the tailor and other one of open threat to PM Narendra Modi and Nupur Sharma.

The innocent tailor identified as Kanhaiya Lal is the 10th Hindu who has been murdered brutally under Congress Government regime by Muslims. The attackers identified as Ghaus Mohammad and Riyaz Attari entered his shop and stabbed him multiple times with daggers and also slit his throat. The video of the incident where the accused were seen claiming responsibility for the murder has gone viral on social media.

A Murder Foretold

Riyaz Attari, one of the accused, had made a video 11 days before the incident and circulated it through social media

On June 17, Riyaz Attari, one of the Jihadis who brutally killed Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, warned he will start beheading and also urged others to follow his lead. Riyaz Attari announced his plan in a video that shot 11 days before the murder.

On that day, donning Islamic attire, Attari shot a 2-minute 33-second video, in which he identified himself by name, the date, and his location of Khanjipith. In the video, Attari said that he would make the video he was currently recording “viral” on the day he beheaded those that had committed an offence against Islam, reported The Hindustan Times.

He went on to say that after he completed his job, it is the responsibility of others to finish ‘those who are left in “Sector 11”’, where Kanhaiya Lal lived.

“Don’t worry brother, about what will happen to family, what will happen to your business. I also have a family, and I have a job. I have no worries about this because I am living for my “rasul-e-pak” (Prophet),” he was quoted as saying in The Hindustan Times report. Urging others to follow his lead once he committed the first murder, Mohammad said, “If death comes, it is heaven. If we go to jail, there is no worry.”

Mohammad was also seen pointing to a set of green bangles and said, “You have no courage to speak out against non-Muslims. You are not capable of taking action, you should just wear these bangles.”

A day later, tailor was cremated amid huge crowd that gathered in the city despite the curfew clamped in seven police stations of Udaipur. The family members of the deceased demanded capital punishment and nothing less than it for the accused who have been arrested from Rajsamand district.

On June 28, the accused were arrested from Rajsamand. One of them has international connections and has been reportedly trained in Pakistan. The investigative agencies said that Ghaus Mohammed, who killed Kanhaiya Lal, went to Pakistan for terrorist training and had been living in India as a sleeper cell. He was in touch with Pakistan-based handler via different numbers.

The investigation has been taken over by the NIA, and a case has been registered against both the killers under several sections of the IPC, including the Unlawful Activities (UAPA) Act.

Meanwhile, Udaipur, Rajsamand and Dungarpur remained closed on call given by shopkeepers. The State Government has suspended internet services for 24 hours across Rajasthan and also clamped section 144 in the State for one month.

The tailor Kanhaiya Lal, 40, ran a shop by the name of Supreme Tailors in Dhanmandi. At around 2.30 pm on Tuesday, the two miscreants entered his shop on the pretext of giving their measurements for cloth stitching.

By the time Kanhaiya Lal could understand anything, the miscreants attacked him multiple times with daggers, resulting in his death. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot appealed to the people to maintain peace. “I condemn the heinous murder in Udaipur. Strict action will be taken against all those involved in the crime and the police will go to the bottom of the case. I appeal to all the parties to maintain peace. Strictest punishment will be given to those involved in such a heinous crime,” he said.

Meanwhile, questions are being raised on working style of police as despite complaint lodged by Kanhaiya lal on June 15, police did not act. Troubled by the constant threats, Kanhaiya Lal did not even open his shop for six days. The police asked him to remain careful for a few days and ended the matter by bringing in an agreement.

However, despite the agreement, he was being threatened. On June 28, he opened his shop and was slaughtered. ASI who came up with the mutual agreement has been suspended. However questions are being raised on the lackadaisical approach of police. Kanhaiya’s post-mortem report revealed 26 wound marks on the body out of which eight to 10 were only on the neck.

The niece of the deceased said, “The accused tortured and killed my maternal uncle (Mama). They should be given capital punishment and nothing else, today they have killed him, tomorrow they will kill others. We want justice, they should be hanged. Otherwise, such people will be encouraged, they should get such punishment that no one can ever think of doing this again in the country.”

Meanwhile, this is not the first case where a Hindu has been murdered brutally by Muslim perpetrators.

Gaurav Prakash Bhatt was murdered in Banswara in October 2021, Adarsh Tapadia was murdered in Bhilwara, Ratan Soni in Chittorgarh, Krishna Valmiki in Jhalawad, Pooja was murdered by a Muslim boy. One Arshad murdered a girl in Ajmer after raping her; Yogesh Jatav was murdered in Alwar; Hansrah Mahawar was allegedly murdered in Jaipur; another man was Kanhaiyalal and last one was Harish Jatav in Alwar.
