Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit in his series of tweets slammed Farooq Abdullah President of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference who asked for the Ban on the Vivek Agnihotri movie The Kashmir Files.

“You should be ashamed of yourself #FarooqAbdullah. This film has exposed you and your cronies and that’s what is irritating you. The world has seen the film. Have you? If not then please watch it on @ZEE5India sitting in your bar.” tweeted the filmmaker.

Ashok Pandit in his further tweet wrote “Shame on you #FarooqAbdullah & #MehboobaMufti for washing away your sin of being responsible for our genocide and ethnic cleansing, by accusing & blaming a film for it. #KashmiriPandits #JusticeForRahulBhat.”

Earlier Farooq Abdullah also called the film “baseless”, citing the incidents portrayed in the movie as fake. The remarks came a day after the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration leaders, including Abdullah and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, met LG Manoj Sinha to discuss the recent incidents of violence in the Valley.

“We met LG Manoj Sinha. The purpose of it was that the law and order situation is bad here. While tourists are visiting the Valley, people are being killed on a daily basis,” said Farooq Abdullah.

Since the announcement of Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files is on the hit list earlier, Wikipedia called The movie based on Kashmiri Pandits, genocide and exodus “inaccurate.” Later Vivek Agnihotri hit out at Wikipedia for their ‘secular credentials’, and sarcastically asked them to edit it and add words like ‘propaganda’.
