Prof. Shantishree Dhulipudi, the newly appointed VC of JNU New Delhi, said in Kochi on April 10 that the wives of 40% of the JNU teachers of the yesteryears were Russian spies. JNU has been following the academic patterns and appointments of teachers according to the whims and fancies of the Left forces. Now, JNU heads towards changes. Until now, our academic system was blindly aping others. She urged for more representation of lady teachers in implementing the New National Education Policy.

VC was addressing at the silver jubilee state conference of Unnatha Vidyabhyasa Adhyapaka Sangham, the Kerala Chapter of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Saikshik Mahasangh, the organisation of university and college teachers.

VC said the general character of the Left forces is to isolate those who stick on to national interests; and they keep on defaming them. They oppose New National Education Policy and blame it as the Hindutva agenda. Our culture stands for equal importance, roles and rights for men and women. More women should come forward to save our national interests.
