Guwahati: Sewa Bharati served over 20 thousand patients in North East through its ‘Dhanvantari’ medical service yatra last year. It organised 145 medical camps in the entire North East last year under its Dhanvantari medical service yatra.

124 senior Ayurvedic practitioners and 116 Ayurvedic students participated in these medical camps, along with 60 senior Ayurvedic practitioners and 60 Ayurvedic students from Assam. The closing ceremony of the Dhanvantari medical service yatra was recently held in Adingiri in Guwahati. Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta, Akhil Bhartiya Karyakarini member of RSS Suresh Soni and NCPCR national director Kanungu Dev, Guwahati Medical College Hospital Principal Dr Achyut Baishya and Assam Kshetra Pracharak of RSS Ullas Kulkarni and National Secretary of Medicos Organisation Dr Biswambar Singh participated in the closing ceremony.

On the other hand, the head office building of the Vidya Bharati Multifaceted educational project was also inaugurated by Suresh Soni. The Amrit Bavan is located in the Hengrabari area of Guwahati city. All India Co-Organization Minister of Vidya Bharati, Ram Aravkar, was present as a special guest. Vidya Bharati North-Eastern Region President Prof. Ganga Prasad Parsai, President of Shishu Shiksha Samiti Assam Dr Dibyjyoti Mahanta, Chairman of Vidya Bharati Multifaceted Educational Project, Sachiram Payeng were also present at the occasion.

While delivering the speech, Suresh Soni said that for the children, the first school is the home and the mother is the first teacher. He added that the main objective of the National Education Policy is to empower children. Considering the totality of education, he said one should think on the basis of Indian knowledge tradition. He opined that The spirit of sanskar should come into educational institutions.

Speaking on occasion, Ram Aravkar said Vidya Bharati does the work of awakening the spirit within the teachers. Teaching should be action-based and social knowledge based. Education should be used in the interest of society by rising above individual interests. Vidya Bharti is making continuous efforts for the implementation of education policy. For this, the work of teacher training has also been almost completed.
