New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday (March 8) observed International Women's Day in a unique manner as he was surrounded by all women security team, reports reaching here said.
On occasion, the state Chief Minister also planted saplings along with women staff and a contingent at state capital Bhopal.
Several programmes are being observed across the state to mark the day in a befitting manner. The Chief Minister also flagged off a special helpline desk for women.
BJP state unit spokesman Pankaj Chaturvedi said, "It's certainly a red letter day…By ensuring that he is protected by all women security contingent, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has shown a great and special gesture. It is worth appreciating".
