SHO Inspector Jaiveer recognised and praised the work of Safai Karamchari (sanitation worker) Kallu, cook Balbir & Ramesh, and helper Ravi. They were also rewarded with cash prizes on Republic Day.

Faridabad (Haryana): On Republic Day, NIT Police Station SHO Inspector Jaiveer recognised and praised the service staff who are providing their services in the police station.

Safai karamchari (sanitation worker) Kallu is the one responsible for the upkeep of the police station premises. Balbir and Ramesh cook food for the police personnel and helper Ravi assists the cook in cooking food.

Inspector Jaiveer presented 11000 rupees as cash prize to Kallu and 1100 rupees each to Balbir, Ramesh and Ravi.

Inspector Jaiveer prised Kallu, Balbir, Ramesh and Ravi. He said, “The premises look so clean and beautiful because of the efforts of Kallu. He makes sure that every nook and corner of the police station is clean. Balbir and Ramesh, with the help of Ravi, ensure that the police personnel posted in this police station get healthy food on time.”

The SHO, with the help of police personnel posted in the police station, collected money for giving cash prizes to Kallu, Balbir, Ramesh and Ravi. He also praised the awardees for their cooperative behaviour.

Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath in May 2014, there has been an emphasis on cleanliness. Swachh Bharat campaign was launched to make people aware about the importance of cleanliness.

In January 2020, the world got to know about the existence of Covid-19. And, in no time, the world was witnessing a pandemic. The sanitation workers were classified as frontline warriors, those who were in the front in the country’s fight against the Covid-19 virus.

Recently, when PM Modi was in Varanasi for the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, he surprised everyone by sitting among the construction and sanitation workers. PM Modi said they are the people who fight all odds to provide basic services.

In February 2019, PM Modi had washed the feet of some sanitation workers when he was on a visit to Prayagraj for Kumbh. He sent across a message about the importance of sanitation workers in the society.
