There has ostensibly a major security lapse during the recent visit of PM Narendra Modi to Punjab. For 20-long minutes the PM’s convoy was held over on a flyover.  All pointers aver that Punjab Government was complicit in the nefarious plan

The Divide and Rule policy of Colonial East India Company continues to be the main strategy of Congress even in the present day. Post-Independence Congress party has been working for the interest of one family only and not for the nation. Congress party did not give due respect to non-dynast, non-Gandhi Prime Ministers of Congress party like Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri and Shri PV Narasimha Rao. Even the death of former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri is alleged to be a conspiracy. Congress can go to any extent to grab power.

The ambush that occured in Punjab during the visit of PM Narendra Modi is not a lapse of security, but a well-planned conspiracy executed deliberately with a malicious intent to harm the Prime Minister of the world’s biggest democracy. Congress Government has colluded with protestors.

The Special Protection Group (SPG) clearly provided intelligence input to the Punjab State Police on January 1 and 2. This was two to three days before the PM's visit to Ferozepur. The State Police was provided information about protesters and the possibility of road blockade by farmers. Intelligence sources had even mentioned the threat arising to the PM from Pakistan-based Islamic outfits, Khalistani groups and other terror organisations. The State Police was alerted that Pakistan-based outfits wanted to revive militancy in election-bound Punjab and were procuring militant hardware. It was clearly mentioned that the PM visit on January 5th in Ferozepur could be blocked.

To make things easier for the Punjab Police, the Special Protection Group (SPG) had categorically conveyed to the State Police about two options of travel from the Bhatinda airport to the proposed area of visit in Ferozepur. If climate conditions permitted then the PM would have reached the site by helicopter. It was clearly intimated to the State Police that climatic conditions in that place were unpredictable and land routes would be taken if climatic conditions did not permit.

PM Modi was supposed to go by helicopter which was cancelled due to weather conditions and the road route was taken. Information about the change of route was conveyed to State Police. Congress Government alleged that the plan to take the road route was sudden. If it was suddenly changed how did the information leak to protesters?

MAOIST TIPPED-OFF ABOUT PM’S VISIT

UPA denoted that Maoist outfit Bharatiya Kisan Union (Kranthikari) in Punjab was allegedly tipped off. BKU leader on camera disclosed that State Police informed them of the PM’s schedule and path of journey.

The PM’s land route was informed to the DGP. PM’s convoy started only after clearance from the DGP. There was an estimated time gap of 145 minutes before PM reached the site. Twelve times there were phone calls between SPG and State Police. Why was SPG not informed about the gathering of protesters? The PM was allowed to travel on the proposed route only after clearance from the State Government. What was the State Police doing all this time?

The PM's convoy was stuck for 15-20 minutes. During this time only SPG was protecting the PM. The State Police was not there. It was a known fact that the area is a sensitive border zone just 15 – 20 kms within the artillery zone of Pakistan. State government knew  this fact.

On a worrisome note, pro-Khalistan outfit, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) leader released a video threatening PM Modi. It clearly said that PM Modi's life will be endangered if he comes to Punjab.

A video was released almost a year back by alleged protesters which had striking similarities in the way blockade happened over the flyover. The video showed protestors’ blocking flyover using tractors and heavy vehicles, isolating PM Modi and surrounding him later.

Gurupatwant Singh Pannu, founder of Sikhs for Justice, released a video threatening the Prime Minister. He went on to say that Khalisthan supporters showed their strength, humiliated the PM and will continue to do so in future.

The Punjab Government allowed protesters to gather. Congress spokesperson said that there were 10,000 police personnel on duty during the PM's visit. But, hardly a few hundred policemen were seen on the ground. The reality was only SPG was protecting the PM when he was stuck on the flyover. There were hardly A few policemen on the flyover.

As per Section 14 of the blue book of SPG, the safety in the proximity of the PM is the responsibility of SPG. State Police is responsible for security away from the vicinity of the PM, security along the route of the PM, avoiding blockade along the route and sanitization of area of visit of the PM.

Punjab CM himself said that on January 5 early morning that several protesters blocked the way from 3 am to 6 am near Ferozepur. Police cleared the route later. The Punjab Government knew about protesters and the site of the block. Later, the Punjab Government allowed protesters to block the site. This clearly shows that it was a planned and deliberate attempt by the State Government to allow protesters to gather at the site and cause blockade.

TRIVIAL CHARGES OVER SERIOUS OFFENCE

The PM’s name was not mentioned in the FIR. Trivial charges punishable up to fine of just Rs 200 were levied on the protesters. Why put such trivial charges over a serious offence?

Punjab CM was updated about the security lapse to Priyanka Vadra. Why should the Chief Minister of Punjab report to the Party General Secretary?

A video showed police on duty revealing details about the role of the Punjab Government in mishandling PM’s security. Policeman himself said that the Punjab Congress Government specifically instructed police not to take action against protesters and police was instructed to tell details to protesters about the Prime Minister’s route. Police had informed the State Government about the possibility of road blockade. The State Government specifically asked police not to clear the road blockade.

The above facts clearly show that it was not just a breach in security but a well pre-planned conspiracy of the Punjab Government. Congress Government with the intent to harm the PM compromised with the security of the nation. It has emboldened the Khalistani separatists and encouraged terror outfits. The actions of Congress Government may also create Hindu-Sikh divide in Punjab. Punjab shares a border with Pakistan. Pakistan-based terror outfits are already encouraging Khalistan terror outfits in Punjab. Pakistan has used drones near the Punjab border. Punjab Police arrested the SFJ leader recently for his hand in the Ludhiana court blast case. Under such circumstances, Punjab Congress Government has deliberately blocked PM Modi in such a precarious area just 15 km from Pakistan, risking the life of PM. SPG protected the PM and took him safely back to the airport.

The gravity of the situation on ground in Punjab was best described by the PM when he told the State Police before his departure, “Say thanks to your Chief Minister that I could return alive till Bhatinda airport”.
