Hindu Aikya Vedi has organised protest marches against religious terrorism and fundamentalism across Kerala on January 5. The Hindu organization has held protest marches and rallies at more than 250 places, demanding stringent action against fundamentalist and extremist forces.
Tens of thousands of people, from different walks of life, have participated in the rallies and registered their strong protest against the recent killings of RSS-BJP workers by PFI terrorists.
Speaking at the rally in Kannur, Hindu Aikya Vedi working president Shri Valsan Thillankeri said that PFI-SDPI terrorists are targeting the RSS-BJP workers in the state and the organisation was ready to accept the challenge if the Government and the police are not willing to control the Islamic terrorist outfit.
"What path you choose, we will also follow the same. We wish for peace; you don't. The government is watching helplessly. If the government can't manage the Popular Front of India, we can do it," said Shri Valsan Thillankeri.
Hindu Aikya Vedi state general secretary R V Babu lashed out at the state government over its silence on growing Islamic terrorism in the state. He said that the Islamic outfits like PFI and Jamaat-e-Islami are raising the slogans and following the patterns of global terrorist organizations like ISIS and Al-Qaeda. But the police remain silent as the state government believes that they can continue to rule the state by appeasing the Islamist forces.
Meanwhile, the police registered a case against Shri Valsan Thillankeri for speaking against Islamic terrorism and fundamentalism, alleging that he raised provocative slogans at the rally. The police have also booked more than 200 Hindu activists for protesting against the delay in arresting the PFI-SDPI terrorists who murdered BJP leader Renjith Sreenivasan last month.
Kerala BJP's OBC Morcha secretary Renjith Sreenivasan was brutally hacked to death at his home in Alappuzha by PFI-SDPI Islamic terrorists on December 19. The ruling apparatus's soft corner towards the fundamentalists was blatant when the postmortem of Renjith was postponed to the next day morning even though he was killed by 6.30 am. Though four or five SDPI activists were arrested, none were physically involved in the murder but were only blamed for giving logistical support to the killers. On November 15, an RSS worker S Sanjith was hacked to death by PFI-SDPI terrorists.
