Islamist forces using government mechanism to change the demography of centrally run educational institutions

According to a report published in Madhyamam daily, a Jamaat-e-Islami Hind run news paper in Kerala, the Malappuram Municipality (ruled by Muslim League) has started an initiative to ‘help’ at least 1000 students to get admission in central/national educational institutions. The name of the programme is ‘mission 1000”. The same report states that this year nearly 40 students got admission in Delhi University. These students were part of the ‘excellence gathering and guidance programme of the Municipality’. The report informs that the Municipality devised cluster approach to give all necessary information’s to the students and to do follow up with the students.

Though the effort of Malappuram municipality is portrayed and propagated as an effort to help the aspiring and needy students, the intension behind the move is not look like an innocent one, particularly in the context of an Islamic agenda to penetrate into the academic institutions. This move of Malappuram municipality can be regarded as camouflage to use official machinery implement the Islamist agenda. No other local body in India is organising such a programme. We must also consider the demographic composition of the district and municipality in this background.

Islamist organisations in Kerala like, JIH, PFI, Mujahid etc. are actively trying to increase the number of their community students in India’s premier institutions like, Central Universities, IIT’S, Medical Institutions, National Law Schools,  TISS etc. All most all these organisations are running career guidance programmes and pre-admission support system to help the students. Muslim teachers and students of various centrally run institutions, civil servants etc. are part of this programme. Muslim teachers and student leaders extensively travel to guide the aspiring students. They have dedicated WhatsApp groups to give information on Education and employment in central institutions government to Muslim youngsters. These WhatsApp groups circulate vital information’s obtained by their networks in a lightning speed. Further, the Islamist groups have also created a mechanism to financially support the education of their community students in such institutions.

Due to these efforts the number of Muslim students are sturdily increasing in many centrally run educational institutions. Apart from its long time impact on the system, this organised efforts has some immediate implications. It will be very difficult for security establishment to control any pre-planned law and order issue arising in the campuses, considering  the human right angle of it and victim card. Possibility of escalation of such events also cannot be ruled out.

During the anti-CAA agitations Muslims students created lot of trouble with support of communist /Islamist fringes in Delhi. Many of those who created trouble in Delhi were from Kerala. A few days back Muslim students staged a protest under the banner of MSF in Delhi alleging attack against Muslims in Tripura. And most of the participants in that demonstration were from Kerala. Later, all the allegations of the attack in Tripura were proven to be wrong.
