Reel meets reals: 300 police watched Akshay Kumar starrer Suryavanshi for some refreshments in Assam

Guwahati: After a tiring and relentless duties due to the recent by polls in Assam, the Kokrajhar district police force on Monday got some entertainment and refreshment. 

To boost up the morale of the force, a special screening of  bollywood film "Suryavanshi" starring Akshay Kumar,  has been arranged by Kokrajhar Police in Bongaigaon. In the special screening, approximately 300 police personnel along with personnel from Kokrajhar police and 7APBn watched the movie with the superintendent of police and other top officials.

Taking to Twitter, Kokrajhar Police wrote “When Real meets the Reel! A special screening of #Sooryavanshi was arranged by Kokrajhar Police in Bongaigaon, in which approx. 300 police personnel including personnel from Kokrajhar Police & 7APBn attended the show."

Kokrajhar SP Prateek Vijay Kumar told the media that due to by-election and festivals the force were working hard in the last several days. So to boost up their morals and provide some refreshment the arrangements have been done.

Suryavanshi is director Rohit Shetty’s much-anticipated flick released last Friday. Akshay Kumar plays Veer Sooryavanshi, an Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) officer who sets out to preserve Mumbai, India, and his son Aryan, as well as others like him. In the film, he beats up on thugs and chases down possible terrorists while parkouring across rooftops, all for the sake of protecting his son Aryan and others like him.
