American Hindu Federation presents “Hindus for Humanity Lifetime achievement” Awards to ten well-known Hindus

American Hindu Federation (AHF) awarded the “Hindus for Humanity Lifetime achievement” Awards to ten well-known Hindus for their dedicated service towards Hinduism and India. Dr. Romesh Japra, Dr. Manohar Shinde, Shree Avdhesh Agrawal, Dr. Krishna Reddy, Shree Natoobhai Patel, Shree Vasant Rathi, Shree Ramjibhai Pate, Uma Gulani and Sheela Kene received the awards.

Dr. Romesh Japra is a renowned cardiologist and an influential community leader. He is the founder and convenor of the Festival of Globe. He is a publisher, CEO of India Post weekly, India Post TV and India web post. Dr. Manohar Shinde is a psychologist by profession with a PhD in Child psychology. Dr Shindewas is a founding member and president of Dharma Civilisation Foundation (DCF) and the Hindu University of America. Dr Shinde was Karyavah and Saha Sanghachalak of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh in America.

Avdhesh Agrawal is a philanthropist based in Southern California, while Dr Krishna Reddy is a dentist based in Southland. Mr Kirit Patel is an engineer and a businessman, and he is associated with Dharma Civilisation Foundation. Natubhai Patel has been organising Gardha events for the past many years. Mr Ramjibhai Patel performed the last rites of 500 Hindus who departed from the world in the U.S. Uma Gulani is the founder of Ekal Vidyalaya in Southern California. Sheela Kene is the founder of the Southern California Vishwa Hindu Parishad. She has been associated with VHP since 1985.

AHF, American Hindu Federation, was established in 1994 as a nonprofit organization working towards Hindu causes in southern California.
