The conference will have sessions on PM Modi's economic and foreign policies, new education policy, his philosophy of Garib Kalyan, how the poor have benefited from the various schemes, and the three farm laws.

New Delhi: The much talked about three farm laws, Prime Minister's overall Governance Model and various facets of Garib Kalyan initiatives, and Mr Narendra Modi's foreign policy moves would come under closer scrutiny at a three-day national conference. The meet is being organised from October 27 by the think tank, Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP), in coordination with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) under the theme 'Reviewing Two Decades of Narendra Modi as Head of Government'.

The Central government and the ruling BJP have already held grand celebrations to mark Prime Minister Modi's 20 years in office, first as a Chief Minister of Gujarat and then as the Prime Minister.

"Modi's Chief Ministerial tenure became the yardstick to measure the performance of other Chief Ministers in India," the organisers have said.

Answering questions at a media briefing, Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, the vice-chairman of RMP, said a discussion is likely about the three agricultural laws over which agriculturists and other stakeholders are now in agitation since November 2020. Mr Modi's tenure in office, first as Gujarat chief minister for 13 years and now Prime Minister since 2014 May are important milestones in the country's democratic process, Dr Sahasrabuddhe said.

"There will be sessions on Modi ji's economic and foreign policies, new education policy, his philosophy of garib kalyan and how the poor have benefited from the various schemes," he said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the event on October 27, while BJP national president J P Nadda will address the valedictory event on October 29.

The organisers, RMP, have said that "While Modi's extraordinary oratory skills, relationship building, ability to pay attention to small details and nuances make him a unique leader, what sets him apart is his ability to deliver on the commitments he makes to the citizens."

"During the last two years, the way Prime Minister Modi has managed the pandemic in India is a case study of effective governance," the RMP stated.

Among others, some senior and ex-bureaucrats who have worked closely with the Prime Minister are also likely to attend the conference. The deliberations on Modi's foreign policy will be held on October 28. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is also likely to attend the three-day event.

The 'Salient Features of Modinomics', Farm Sector Reforms and Modi Government, Skill Development moves and 'The Art of Implementation during Modi period' are some of the conference's themes.
