Mumbai BJP President Mangal Prabhat Lodha and MLA Nitesh Rane visited the Malwani area on Monday (October 18) to support Hindus of the area who are being pressurised by Muslim goons over the past few months to leave the area. Lodha and Nitesh Rane met the senior inspector of police of the Malwani police station and demanded police protection for Hindu residents of the area.
Malwani is an old village area in a busy western suburb of Mumbai called Malad west, which is now converted into a huge slum area dominated by Muslims. A few years ago, the area had 85% of the Hindu population, which is now reduced to around 25 per cent only because of a surge in Muslim occupation. The remaining Hindus are being harassed and attacked to pressure them to leave the houses in which they have been living for decades.
Many Hindu organisations, including the VHP, are working to protect the remaining Hindu population of the area, the original residents of the Malwani village. According to VHP, the Hindus there are being harassed by every means possible. The houses of local Hindu residents are being pelted with stones. The Hindu houses have to face a tremendous amount of sound pollution as the loudspeakers on the illegal mosques in the area are aimed at their houses with the maximum sound level possible. The remains of the killed animals from local illegal mutton shops are being thrown on the doorsteps of the many Hindu houses.
Local Muslim goons issue threats to Hindu families to leave the area permanently at the earliest. Complaining to police has proved ineffective as the goons issue more dire threats again. Hence, BJP Mumbai president Mangal Prabhat Lodha visited the area a few months ago, gave a memorandum to the local police station, and demanded protection for Hindus.
As police failed to protect the Hindus of Malwani village, Lodha visited the Malwani village again on Monday with MLA Nitesh Rane. The duo met the senior PI of Malavani police station, demanding strict action against Muslim goons who threaten Hindus with life to leave the houses. Lodha and Rane also met the Hindu residents of the village, who are the victims of Muslim Goons and expressed solidarity. Both of them said they would pursue the matter until the lives of Malavani village Hindus are secured and the Muslim goons are jailed. "This Hindu hatred should end immediately," demanded Nitesh Rane.
