Two drug peddlers Ayazuddin Chemsa and  Md Abdullah Khan were arrested along with heroin powder at Hatta Golapati, Imphal East on  Monday late at night, police sources said.

The two drug peddlers Ayazuddin Chesam, 37, son of late Amu Chesam of Sora Makha Leikai and one Md Abdullah Khan, 27, son of late Abdul Khan of Sekmaijin Thongkhong Bazar, both from Kakching district, Superintendent of Police, Imphal East, N Herojit told the media.

The anti-narcotics team of Manipur police detained the two at Hata Golapati area near Public Hospital.

It should be mentioned that the Manipur police has arrested many drug peddlers and seized drugs worth rupees several crores.
