In another brutal incident, at least two non-local labourers were killed while another was injured after Islamic terrorists attacked them in the Laran Ganjipora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on October 17 evening.
The terrorists fired upon three non-local labourers in the Ganjipora area of Kulgam, leaving two of them dead and another wounded, who has received firearm injury.
The three non-Kashmiris have been identified as Raja Reshi Dev, Joginder Reshi Dev, Chunchun Reshi Deva—all residents of Bihar.
Chun Chun Reshi Dev, son of Teju Das of Bihar, was shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment.
This is the third incident of attacking non-Kashmiris in recent days. Earlier two street-vendors, Arvind Kumar Sah and Virender Paswan were brutally killed by the terrorists. Both of them belonged to Bihar. Arvind Kumar Sah, a street vendor from Bihar, was shot from point-blank range in Srinagar.
On the killings of non-Kashmiris Alok Bansal, Director, Centre for Security and Strategy, India Foundation said to the Organiser, “The killings of non-Muslims and even outsiders actually show the desperation of the terrorists because their masters from across the borders asking them to vitiate the atmosphere as things are getting normalised to a great extent in J&K. And normalcy is creating problems for them.”
Five non-local Indian labourers have been killed in the last few days, apart from other local minority killings. Till October 17, 2021, around 40 civilians were killed in Jammu & Kashmir.
Former MLC from Srinagar Surinder Ambardar believes that the targeted killing of civilians is an attempt to create an atmosphere of fear among those Hindus who are thinking of resettling in Kashmir.
