The construction of the Hindu temple in Dubai's Jebel Ali is completed by half, and the temple will be open to the public by Dussehra next year.
"Today, almost 52 per cent of the construction has been completed," Khaleej Times quoted Raju Shroff, an Indian businessman and one of the trustees of the Sindhi Guru Darbar Temple.
"The columns on the facade and interior were inspired by the traditional columns of the Somnath Temple in Gujarat, India. The main Shikhar dome is inspired by the Nagara style of the Hindu temple architecture found predominantly in North India," he added.
In February 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had "witnessed laying of foundation stone for the BAPS Swaminarayan temple on Abu Dhabi – Dubai highway! The first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi being built on a generous gift of land by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi reflects UAE's commitment to tolerance and harmony."
