Gulam Rasool Dar, Kulgam BJP Kisan Morcha president, and his wife Jawhara Banoo were shot dead by militants in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The terrorists fired bullets at the couple at Lal Chowk in Anantnag.
The couple died after being shifted to a hospital, BJP leader Altaf Thakur said.
J&K LG Manoj Sinha strongly condemned the brutal terrorist attack. “This is an act of cowardice and perpetrators of violence will be brought to justice very soon. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family in this time of grief,” he said.
