Big Success for Security Forces in Kashmir, Jaish Commander Ismail Lamboo Killed in Encounter

Adnan alias Ismail alias Lamboo was closely related to Jaish founder Maulana Masood Azhar and had entered India in 2018.

 

In a big success for the security forces in Kashmir, Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Adnan alias Ismail alias Lamboo was killed in an encounter today (July 31) morning.

 

In a post, the Indian Army said, “Op Hangalmarg, #Pulwama. A Joint Op was launched today morning at Hangalmarg in Dachigam forest, Pulwama based on @JmuKmrPolice inputs. Contact was established. 02 #Terrorists eliminated. 01 AK & 01 M4 recovered. Joint Op in progress.”

 

The identity of the other killed terrorist is being checked.

 

The encounter started on the specific intelligence inputs of the Jammu & Kashmir Police and Army. The area was cordoned off, and the search has begun.

 

Ismail has a close association with Umar Farooq and Sameer Ahmed Dar alias Hanjila Jihadi, the masterminds of the Pulwama suicide attack.

 

On February 14, 2019, a suicide bomber attacked a convoy of security forces in the Pulwama district. Forty brave soldiers were martyred.
