Assam Police to take Legal action against Mizoram MP K Vanlalvena

Mizoram Rajyasabha M. P made controversial remarks against Assam Police during a television interview after the border clash.

 

Guwahati: The Assam Police announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for information leading to the arrest of each of the individuals involved in the brutal killing of the Assam Police personnel on July 26th, 2021.

 

Special DGP of Assam police GP Singh tweeted, @assampolice also announces a reward of INR 5 lacs for information leading to arrest of each of the individuals involved in the barbaric killing of the Assam Police personnel on July 26th, 2021.

 

Meanwhile, Assam Police is also searching legal options against Mizoram

 

Rajyasabha MP Vanlalvena. during a television interview with ANI, said, "If the Assam Police return to Mizo areas again, we shall kill them all." After the controversial remark by the Mizoram MP, the Assam police Criminal Investigation Department team headed for Delhi to take lawful action relating to the conspiracy behind the incident. Singh further tweeted, @assampolice team, including officers of CID are leaving for delhi to take lawful action relating to the conspiracy behind the incident in light of media interview of Rajya Sabha MP Sri K Vanlalvena indicative of his active role in the conspiracy.

 

The firing by Mizoram police took place at Inner Line Reserve Forest area of Cachar district, Assam, along National Highway 306, around 1.7 km southwards from Lailapur. Six Assam police personnel were killed and 42 injured, including Cachar SP, in the unexpected incident.

 

Meanwhile, Assam police lodged an FIR against Mizoram police in Dholai Police Station of Cachar district in Assam. A Case (No 236/21) has been registered under sections 12 (B),447,336,379,333,307,302 IPC read with Section 25 (1-A) of Arms Act and Section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public property Act 1984 about killing of Assam Police personnel on July 26th.
