“The webinar was organised by the Chinese Embassy in India on July 27. Counselor of Bureau I of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party Du Xiaolin also attended the webinar.”

The Chinese Embassy in India organised a webinar on Tuesday (July 27) to celebrate the 100 years of the Chinese Communist Party.

In a release on Wednesday (July 28), the Chinese Embassy said “On July 27, to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese Embassy in India held an online seminar themed "Sharing Experience on Party-Building, Promoting Exchanges and Cooperation". Ambassador Sun Weidong delivered a keynote speech entitled "Putting People First, Promoting Common Development". General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Shri Sitaram Yechury, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India Shri D. Raja, Member of the Lok Sabha Dr. S. Senthilkumar, Secretary of Central Committee of the All India Forward Bloc Shri G. Devarajan, and Counselor of Bureau I of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC) Mr. Du Xiaolin attended the seminar.”

The release detailed what the Chinese ambassador in India Sun Weidong said but it was silent on what the other participants said. Ambassador Weidong said, “The CPC sticks to its own path. By constantly adapting the basic tenets of Marxism to China's specific realities, the CPC has finally found the right path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.”

Earlier, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury had penned a flowery tribute to the Chinese Communist Party on June 29.

The CCP celebrated its centenary on July 1.

In the flowery tribute, Yechury wrote “The exemplary manner in which the PRC tackled and contained the Covid pandemic reopened its society and economy with the requisite precautions and put back the economy on a growth trajectory is a lesson for the world establishing the superiority of socialism as a system over capitalism.”

Now, it has been established that Chinese authorities lied about the origin and spread of the Covid-19. Only in December 2019, they accepted the existence of the Covid-19 virus but investigation revealed that they were aware of Covid at least six-eight weeks before.

Still, CCP is opposing any WHO-led investigation into the origin of the virus.

Many scientists and intelligence agencies believe the virus originated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

Yechury has praised Chinese foregign policy writing “Progressive people look forward to the PRC under CPC’s leadership pursuing a peaceful foreign policy, consolidating good neighbourly relations, contributing to peace and stability in South Asia and in the world.”

All the neighbouring countries of China have complained about its dogmatic and imperialist position on boundary disputes.

Twenty Indian soldiers were martyred in June last year in a confrontation with the Chinese army in Ladakh when the Chinese troops showed aggression without any provocation.

Many African countries have complained how the CCP has caught them in a massive debt trap.

Through its state sponsored espionage, CCP is posing a threat to countries across the globe. The result: countries fear the Chinese tech companies. As a result, many countries, including India, have banned Chinese tech giants.

Recently, China forcefully closed the Hong Kong based pro-democracy newspaper Apple Daily. All its top leadership was arrested and put behind the bars.

In the 1962 Indo-China war, communists had supported China and refused to stand with India in a time of crisis.

Even in the recent Galwan clashes last year, the communists did not condemn the Chinese aggression at the border.
