Kerala police have arrested a Thrissur native Zakir Hussain for smuggling narcotics from Goa to Kerala via courier post. Calicut excise crime branch had been monitoring his activities for the past few months.
According to reports, Zakir Hussain smuggled LSD, Hashish, Marijuana and DMA from Goa.
Zakir Hussain was in Kerala for the past 3 months following an accident in Goa where he was physically injured.
Certain fundamentalist organisations are accused of using the drug trade for their terror funding activities. The investigative agency is yet to prove that angle.
