The death of Reuters photojournalist Danish Siddiqui has sharply divided the internet. Siddiqui was killed during an ongoing fight between Taliban terrorists and Afghan security personnel in Kandahar province. Left-Liberals and Islamists came out opposing the netizens who pointed out that Siddiqui had always done negative stories about India, including the burning pyre in the midst of COVID crisis.
Netizens point out that the same liberal-Islamist faction had peddled hate tweets against popular journalist Rohit Sardana after his demise. Islamist Sharjeel Osmani had celebrated the death of Sardana by calling him “Sociopath, pathological liar and genocide enabler” . Another ‘journalist’ Vidya tweeted, “Rohit Sardana was the ass wart of Indian journalism. Danish is.. was… the best among us.”
Playing by the usual victim card, a Twitter user lamented the death of Siddiqui without mentioning about Taliban, but tweeted, “Danish would have been celebrated as a hero if he was a Hindu. But because he is a Muslim, he must be vilified for doing his job. To expect sanity from people who have kept their mental faculties on the shelves of ignorance is insanity.”
Twitterati has exposed the double standards of the liberals who have different value systems for different people.
