VHP Senior Office Bearers to Meet in Faridabad, Central Law Against Conversion in the Agenda of Meeting

The two-day meeting of all the senior office bearers of the Vishva Hindu Parishad will start on Saturday (July 17). VHP?s President and the Secretary-General will also be elected in the meeting.

The Central Governing Council and the Board of Trustees of the Vishva Hindu Parishad will meet for two days, starting Saturday (July 17) in Haryana’s Faridabad.
 
The agenda of the meeting includes discussion about “central law against religious conversions, freedom of monasteries and temples from Govt. control, violence in Bengal, preparations for the anticipated third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, VHP’s Shahashtraabdi-Poorti Year (celebration of the sanctity of the sixtieth year in the life of the organization) and expansion plan of the organization”.
 
About 275 office bearers, including VHP President Fmr-Justice Shri Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje, Working President Senior Advocate Shri Alok Kumar, Working President (External) Shri Ashok Rao Chowgule, Vice Presidents Shri Gangaraju, Shri Om Prakash Singhal, Dr. R. N. Singh, Shri Hukum Chand Sanwla, Treasurer Shri Ramesh Gupta and all central and zonal office-bearers of the organisation, are expected to attend the meeting. The other office bearers will join the meeting virtually.
 
The president and the general secretary of the VHP will also be elected in the two-day meeting..
 
The VHP has been demanding a tough central anti-conversion law for a long time. It has also been campaigning for the freedom of temples from government control.
