Centre’s new Vaccine policy: Over 53.8 lakh people administered Covid-19 vaccine on Day 2

Over 53 lakh people were given Covid-19 vaccines on the second day of the Central government's new vaccine policy, i.e. Tuesday (June 22). According to the information available on the Cowin portal till 11.59 pm, 53,86,951 people were administered the vaccine in India on June 22.

 

Of these, 47,55,674 were given the first dose of vaccine, and 6,31,277 were given the second dose. The number of males who got the jabs was 28,55,609 while 25,30,203 females got the vaccine dose.

 

On Monday, India achieved the milestone of the highest daily vaccinations by administering over 88 lakh COVID-19 jabs.
