Two naxals gunned down by security forces in Narayanpur

Two Naxal terrorists were killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Narayanpur's Itul Korwaya village at 8 A. M on Saturday.

 

On Friday night, at 8 A.M., the DRG police party headed out on a search operation in the forests of Itul as part of the security forces' anti-Naxalite campaign. Later, they were attacked by the Naxalites near Korwaya village. In retaliatory action, two Naxalites were killed on the spot, while the rest escaped from there.

 

The DRG party also found A 303 bore rifle, 315 bore rifle, magazines, Naxalite banners and uniforms, poisoned arrows and bows.

 

After recovering the material found from the incident site, the returning police party was ambushed by the Naxalites at 1 P. M. However, the security forces, showing prudence, broke the ambush of the Naxalites and forced them to flee again.

 

During the entire operation, some jawans got minor injuries who are being treated at Narayanpur District Hospital.

 

In another significant development, the security forces have arrested four Naxalites from the Muller area of Sukma. There was also a bounty of one lakh on one of the arrested Naxalites. The joint teams of District Force, DRG, STF, and CAF were out on a search operation since Wednesday morning, where they were ambushed by Naxalites on Thursday morning. In retaliatory action by the security forces, four terrorists were nabbed.

 

The names of the arrested Naxalites are Madavi Handa (29), Madavi Chula (28), Madavi Somra (30), and Vanjami Sukka (28). The names of the arrested Naxalites are Madavi Handa (29), Madavi Chula (28), Madavi Somra (30), and Vanjami Sukka (28). All four Naxalites have been produced in court and sent to jail.

 

Bastar IG Sundarraj P told that the operation against Naxalites will be intensified. In the monsoon period itself, we have killed five terrorists and recovered a huge cache of arms.
