45-Year-Old Maulana in Uttar Pradesh?s Gorakhpur All Set to Marry 16-Year-Old Student

A 45-year-old Maulana is all set to marry a a16-year-old girl from the same village in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur after the local panchayat passed the verdict in maulana’s favor.

Maulana, who is married and has two children, was having an affair with the minor girl of the same village for over two years.

The educational institutions are closed since the start of the pandemic last year, Maulana was providing the minor girl private tuitions.

He proposed to marry the girl but the girl’s father refused on the grounds that he was already married and had two children.

The matter reached the local panchayat.

It was decided he would provide his first wife half of his property. He also promised to look after his first wife and children.

The girl’s father agreed.

There is no case filed yet with the police for sexually exploiting a minor girl.

The madrasa authorities refused to take any action against Maulana, saying it has nothing to do with the madrasa and is a private matter between the two parties.
