UP govt to take responsibility of children orphaned due to COVID-19

Uttar Pradesh government has announced that it will take every responsibility of those children who lost their parents during the second wave of covid-19 in state. After high level review meeting in state capital Lucknow chief minister of state Yogi Adityanath said that such children are an asset to the state and his government will take care of them and will look after their health, education and security. He has instructed women and child development ministry of state to prepare a comprehensive work plan for the children.

Women and Child Development directorate in state has asked a list of such children from district magistrates. Directorate has already instructed district magistrates and other responsible officers in the districts to provide such orphan children every possible help under different schemes of the government. Virtual meeting in this regard will also be held in all divisions of state.
