An abortive attempt to appoint seer for a Srirangam based Vaishnavite mutt, demands to take over Kanchi Sankara Mutt and Isha foundation and boycotting NEP consultation meeting, clamouring to scrap of NEET, NEP and release Rajiv Gandhi murder accused from prison by DMK and its allies are not augur well for the ten days old DMK government. Dravidar Kazhagam leader Veeramani demanded to appoint archakas ( priests) from all caste in Hindu temples ( an evangelical hidden plan) and MDMK, VCK, left and DMK’s condemnation against Israel for its attack on Palestine are self-explanatory that the Hindu phobic and anti-national forces are rearing their heads to weaken the federal structure.
In the just-concluded assembly elections, the DMK and its allies secured more than the magic number of seats and are in a dominating position to implement their agenda. Most of them are Hindu phobic and against spiritual beliefs of the majority of people in the state. Health Minister speaks about HR and CE, Finance Minister talks about taking over Isha foundation and attacks Jaggi in third person singular with abusive language and questioning BJP leaders’ educational qualifications show their hatred against BJP and Hindu mutt heads. The same DMK and its allies did not mince a word against Karunya University and its land grabbing , religious conversion activities. The new government did not try to contain the Covid19 second wave and the state has the distinction of on line pre-bookings for burial and cremation. Hundreds of bodies, ambulances have lined up in all crematoriums and burial grounds.
P. T. R. Palanivel Thiagarajan, the new Finance Minister, is the son of the veteran politician and DMK member late P. T. R. Palanivel Rajan. His grandfather, P. T. Rajan, was the Chief Minister of Madras Presidency in 1936. His grandfather was also the last President of the Justice Party. Thiagarajan , who married Maragaret (an American), worked in Standard Chartered Bank as Managing Director. When he was at the helm, Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. went bankrupt. He is US green card holder.
The DMK’s agenda of Hindu bashing which can in all angles be considered to be part of project Joshua. Christian Welfare Association of India has extended greetings to him to carry on Thiyagarajan new endevour. Within a day or two after assuming, DMK’s plan has come to fore. Sekar Babu was given HR and CE portfolio. In the pretext of condoling a death, CM M K Stalin visited a church in Chennai and was blessed by priests or pastors there. A team from TTD (all Telugu speaking) visited Stalin’s house to give prasadams. Stalin with wearing slippers inside his house, received the same. This was considered showing disrespect to the prasadam. No other CM or politician even the PM, President had such privilege in the past. No Divya Prabandam, sung by Alwars in chaste Tamil was not recited by the TTD priests. Only when VIP politicians visit Tirumala, they are given prasadams like Laddu and Vastrams etc. Why a rationalist and Hinduism was being given such importance is a million dollar question. One reasons Stalin’s forefathers were from Andhra Pradesh and Telugu is their mother tongue. Even over 50 MLAs including ministers are Telugu speaking community. Sekar Babu orders probe into Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha foundation. Jaggi has been demanding temples to be freed from Government control which is to be remembered. PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan, in the pretext of supporting probe into Isha foundation, made disparaging comments on Brahmins.
Another salvo was the publication of notice inviting applications for appointment of Seer of Sri Rangam based Vaishnavite mutt. “ Their aim is to loot the several crore worth properties belonging famous Saiva and Vaishavite temples. They are being managed by Vaishavite seers and mutt heads. In the name of administrative measures, the DMK government is implementing the sinister design of removing mutt heads from these cash rich temples and to help efforts of Christianization. Remember what had happened in Andhra Pradesh where under the Chief Ministership of Jagmohan Reddy, statues of Hindu gods were broken and large scale religious conversations and interfering into the day to day affairs of Hindu temples” warns Subramanian Swamy , BJP MP.
VCK founder Thol Thirumavalavan’s deputy Vanniarasu, a crypto convert and married a Christian woman, has demanded that the government should take over the Kanchi Sankara Mutt and Isha foundation. The properties both cash and kind should be distributed to poor. Can’t he say Dravidar Kazhagam, DMK , Congress, Waqf board, church properties and his own party’s funds and assets be nationalized and distributed among poor? Can’t they say Loyola college, run Jesuits, should be asked to hand the over Hindu temple land, which was given 99 years lease and is coming to end soon? The land is several crores worth where the Loyala administration has built church and is the breeding ground for anti -Hindu , Hindu phobic , anti-national ideologies and the brain washed students are the carrier of such false narratives.
Dravidar kazhagam Chief K Veeramani raised the demand again that archakas from all communities should be appointed in Hindu temples. He did not press church and mosques should also have pastors, bishops and mullas, kazhis from all castes and he knows what will happen to him if he makes such demand.
Palanivel Thiagarajan, who is also the head DMK IT wing, in an interview to The Hindu English daily described as ‘non-sense’ the demand from certain quarters for freeing temples from the HR and CE department. “ Random people make random noise. These are the people who want to break the good will of society. In the case Jaggi, he is a publicity hound and charlatan who is trying to find another angle to make money. Those making the demand have contended that temples should be run by ‘ bhaktas’ ( devotees)”, he elaborated. He accused Jaggi of a commercial operator pretending to use god and religion to get help.
The finance Minister said “ HR and CE Minister Sekar Babu has ordered inquiry into what was going on in Isha Foundation. “ he will investigate whether there are violations or issues. There some serious issues he is seeing in the CAG report. Sekar Babu will look into them” Thiagarajan said. “Refuting his charges, Isha foundation in an open letter to Minister Thiagarajan said “they were appalled that a man of his (jaggi) Vasudev stature has been subjected to the Minister’s un-parliamentary and uncalled for personal attack. It is deeply unfortunates that a person holding high public office should resort to name calling of a highly respected public figure. This unseemly attack trivialize the efforts and dedication of million Isha volunteers worldwide who are working tirelessly in serving the humanity. in true democratic spirit, Jaggi and Isha foundation have worked with various elected governments across the political spectrum and will continue to do so for the welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu. We regret the deterioration of this culture and the poor standard of public discourse. This is certainly unbecoming of an elected representative and an honorable member of the state’s cabinet”.
Thiagarajan considered all leaders in opposition camp at not equal to his education qualification and stature. He questions their educational qualifications by terming them as bogus besides making abusive comments.
In Tirunelveli district, Hindu devotees are being denied access to visit temples by the forest department. It is only cover to conceal the truth that the idols of Sage Agasthiyar and his consort Lobamutra and other village deities were vandalized. Political commentator Bala Gauthaman the same forest department allows the Christians to conduct prayer meet and allow a single Muslim family to do namaz atop the hill which was unused for longer time. It is the birth place of holy river Tamirabarani. Why Hindu devotees were denied permission to visit the family deities? This is against constitution. Something is fishy. This has been brought to the district administration but no action was taken”.
Already DMK goons, MLAs and Ministers have started interfering in the police and administration machinery by dictating orders. Former MP and AIADMK district secretary P Kumar has brought this to the attention of Governor Banwarilal Purohit .
On a filmy reason, the DMK boycotted the online discussion of NEP convened by Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. The TN minister wrote to him to include him in the meet. Only higher officials were invited for the meet.
In Sri Rangam Srimath Sriranga Narayanana jeeyar (seet) mutt, one of the oldest Srivasihnav religious trust, there is vacancy for 51st jeeyar. This thousands year old mutt was founded by Sri Ramanujar and is involved in the running of Srirangam temple, the first of 108 divine temples. The 50th pontiff attained Moksha in 11st July 2018. The next pontiff should be a one from Thenkalai sect of Vaishavism and should be authority on Veda, agama and other rituals. But the government, issued a notification, as if to fill up the post of typist , clerks, seeking application for the recruitment of next pontiff. Vaishnavites and other religious leaders condemned the recruitment notification and wanted it to be withdrawn. After a lot opposition, the new DMK government silently aborted the move. “ If they succeeded, it would be extended to other mutts in the state in future. We have already protested to appoint new seer. Disciples are there and they will select the next seer. What is the role of the government in the mutt affairs. There are a lot of issues in Srirangam temples and the conduct of JC and other HR and CE officials are being opposed by devotees and sthalathars” says H Raja, senior BJP leader. DMK cadres have already grabbed Sri Rangam temple properties. Now they want to appoint their own man to swindle the remaining ones” he warns. Tamil nadu temple worshippers’ society head TR Ramesh said this is against constitution. In Shiroor and Thiruvavaduthurai mutt cases, the Madras High Court Division bench held that government or HR and CE officials could not interfere. Despite SC and HC held that sections 63 to 69 are null and void. Despite this, in 50 temples JC, Eos are being appointed. This gross violation” .
Journalist Senthil hopes “since CM Stalin’s wife is staunch believer of God and she won’t allow any such measures. DMK seniors have warned any criticism against the functioning of the government or DMK or its chief M K Stalin will not be tolerated. In the name freedom of expression they should not indulge in any such things. If they do, they will be taken care by our cadres and will make sprains in their bodies”.
The late TN CM CN Annadurai, the founder of DMK said in Parliament that he belonged to the “ Dravidian Stock” . Now MK Stalin added the phrase to his twitter profile, minutes after he was sworn in as Chief Minister.
Now he mentions in all officials releases “union government” instead of Central government or the Centre. This is a deliberate one to belittle and weaken the federal structure. This anti Hindu measures are not taken light by the people. The government has totally failed in tackling the second wave of Covid-19 in the state but indulges in unwarranted things.
