In a move that shows Israel’s deep-rooted friendship for India and its high esteem for Indian citizens, Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin dialled the family members of Soumya Santhosh who was killed at Ashkelon in Hamas rocket attack. The Israeli President started his conversation by sharing a condolence message and assured full support to Soumya’s family.

Soumya’s husband Santosh shared his wish to the President of visiting the place where Soumya was killed. The President agreed to his request and replied that Israel will do all the arrangements for his visit. Israeli President also assured that he would personally meet Soumya’s family members once they come to Israel.

Israel’s consulate general Jonathan Zadka while sharing his condolence message had called Soumya an ‘Angel to the Israeli people’.
