In yet another incident that shows evangelical NGOs accepting foreign funds for conversion of Hindus, the Legal Rights Observatory (LRO) accused Catholic Mission Society For Tribal Education of violating FCRA norms and accepting foreign funds worth rupees 4.05 crores.

LEO also accused the Catholic Mission Society For Tribal Education of using poor children’s pictures to connect donations from abroad. The Chairperson of the National Commission For Protection of Human Rights (NCPCR) Priyank Kanoongo has noted this incident. LRO had complained to the Union Home Ministry regarding the dubious functioning of Catholic Mission Society For Tribal Education.
Catholic Mission Society For Tribal Education is a proxy of Manos Unidas that is exploiting the current pandemic to evangelize the marginalised people.
