Terrorist organisation Hamas has fired more than 3100 rockets in Israel. In self defence, Israel has been neutralising the Hamas bases.
On May 15, Israeli forces demolished a 12-storey building used by Hamas for rocket attacks against Israel. The building also housed the Al Jazeera office.
Seema Mustafa-led Editors Guild of India (EGI) condemned Israel for acting in self defence and demanded an investigation.
The Israeli forces had given a notice before targeting the building. Hamas has a habit of using Palestinians as human shields.
The EGI has also demanded that the Indian government should take up this issue with the Israeli government.
The US President Joe Biden said Israel had the right to self-defend when attacked with rockets by Hamas.
An Indian nurse from Kerala, Soumya Santhosh, was killed by Hamas last week.
Earlier, the EGI had expressed solidarity with PFI-associated journalist Siddique Kappan who had been accused of inciting violence by the Uttar Pradesh government.
