The Maharashtra government led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray Thursday allocated 6 crore rupees to manage the social media accounts of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

On many occasions Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has talked about the financial constraints in procuring vaccines and managing Covid-19.

The state is the most badly affected by Covid-19.

Maharashtra is currently being ruled by a coalition government of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is an NCP leader.

The Maharashtra government has also floated a tender for the construction of a new MLAs hostel in Mumbai.

After a massive uproar by the opposition BJP, Pawar cancelled the order for managing his social media accounts.

Maharashtra is under lockdown to check the spread of the virus.
