On May 11, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited COVID-19 wards in Goa Medical College and Hospital to inquire about the well-being of the patients.

During the visit, the Goa Chief Minister talked to the doctors and also took the suggestion of the patients. He also holds a meeting with the medical and administrative team to resolve all the issues and ensure that everyone gets the necessary facilities.

In the pandemic where most of the leaders and chief ministers are sitting at home and monitoring the situation through video conferences, Chief Minister Dr Sawant is visiting the hospitals and meeting the patients in person and trying the resolve the issues on the ground.

The Goa Government has already created medical kits for Corona patients during their home isolation, with essential medicines and equipment.

With this initiative, Goa has become the first state in India to introduce ‘Home Isolation Kits’, which would reach the doorsteps of the COVID-19 victims, equipped with items required for the recuperation process. This move will reduce excess pressure from the hospitals in the State.

The kit includes vitamin tablets, hydroxychloroquine tablets, a digital thermometer, an oximeter, a spirometer, gloves, a mask, a sanitiser and so on.
