Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recovered from Covid-19 and tested negative for the virus on Friday.
After some of his officers got Covid positive, the chief minister had isolated himself on April 13. The next day, he was reported positive too.

Under observation of a team of doctors, he was working and holding meetings virtually to assess the situation about Covid-19 in the state.

The second wave of Covid-19 has put the health infrastructure of the state under a lot of strain.

The chief minister took multiple steps to improve the situation on the ground.

It was made mandatory for both, the public as well as private hospitals, to display the status of beds at least twice in a day.

The state had established more than 30 Oxygen generation plants in the last three years and was making arrangements to meet the Oxygen supply.

The state government has also taken upon itself to provide the antiviral drug Remdisivir. The government has decided to provide it free of cost.
