There seems to be no end to Congress’ ever shifting goalposts as far as vaccines.

The Congress party has made it a point to criticise every move of the Union government regarding vaccination against Covid-19.

When the Union government’s autonomous bodies had granted permission for the emergency use of Covaxin, the Chhattisgarh Health Minister T S Singh Deo had cast doubts over the vaccine.

Covaxin is developed and manufactured by Hyderabad based Bharat Biotech.

On multiple occasions, he had questioned the effectiveness of the vaccine.

The Chhattisgarh government had been demanding autonomy over the Covid management and vaccination process.

And when the Union government decentralised the vaccination process on Monday, it was T S Singh Deo again.

He criticised the Union government for decentralising the vaccination process. He argued the decentralised vaccination process will create competition among the states.

But he didn’t explain why they were demanding decentralisation in the first place.
