Four people are killed and four are injured after security forces had to resort to firing after getting gheraoed by people in Coochbihar in West Bengal Saturday.

The Election Commission had issued notice to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday to explain her remarks in a public rally where she had asked people to gherao central security forces.

In Coochbihar, around 300 people had gheraoed the security forces.

The Trinamool Congress has alleged the people killed were TMC voters.

The Commission had asked Banejree to explain her remarks where she had been casting aspersions on the security forces and instigating people to take law in their hands.

Today, the fourth phase of polling is underway in Bengal. Total 44 seats are up for grab in this phase.

In Coochbihar, Anand Burman, a first time voter and BJP worker was shot dead allegedly by the TMC workers. His family said Burman was getting threat calls for days now. TMC workers were pressuring him to leave BJP.
